Park Land Meadows Private Limited, a Delhi based real estate company has recently forayed into the hotel business, with the launch of its flagship property at Green Park. The 42 room property was launched in October 2007.
The company has three operational properties at the moment. The three properties located at Green Park, Chirag Enclave and Safdarjung Enclave, all within South Delhi, have been branded as Hotel Park Land. “The group will soon boast of seven operational properties, all in the range of 40 – 50 rooms, with the addition of four more hotels under the Park Land brand. By April, we should have an inventory of about 250 rooms”, says Ajay Malhotra, Senior General Manager, Hotel Park Land.
Two of the upcoming properties are located at Kalkaji and will boast of an inventory of about 50 rooms each. The hotel at Kailash colony is coming up with 30 rooms, whereas the Safdarjung property is already operational. The Safdarjung Hotel has an inventory of 23 rooms and 21 rooms will be added to it. Thus, the total inventory at Safdarjung will be 44 rooms.
The hotel company currently has an inventory of about 100 rooms, with the addition of Park Land at Chirag Enclave, a 30 room property launched in November 2007. The group’s property at Safdarjung Enclave was launched in December 2007 with an inventory of 23 rooms. The Chirag Enclave property is being promoted as a vegetarian hotel. “Our main focus is on business travellers and we want to provide our guests with all the necessary convenience. The room rate is half that of a five star hotel. All our properties are doing exceptionally well with occupancy rate exceeding 90 per cent” informs Malhotra.
The Green Park property is also gearing up for the launch of ‘Delhi Masala’, a fine dining Indian restaurant and bar, in February 2008. It also has a club lounge. The three meeting rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and can house between 30 to 50 guests. The meeting rooms can also be combined together for banqueting and dinner parties and can collectively house up to 150 guests.
All the properties boast of rooms with wooden flooring, Wi-fi, mini-bars, LCD televisions and in-house fitness centres for its guests.
The property has 220 rooms, four restaurants including a 24/7 dining outlet, a bar, pub, lobby lounge, health club and spa.
The hotel has a business centre and over 15000 sq ft of convention/meeting space. It is situated on a four acre plot along with commercial spaces.

Most of the ones who become synoymous with brilliant conceriging (Its a word I made up!) are the ones blessed with a super memory and an even greater sense of managing the information picked up over a number of years.
Unfortunately the knowledge walks out the door with the staff.
Now most have used either the PMS database or a stand alone database to store, retreive and make sense of all this information, but I have yet to find a fantastic solution to it all.
Here is one that tries.

>Maps. Wish it could snyc with google maps, that would be brilliant. Maybe someone can use this as a product idea.
