Parsvnath Developers Limited, a real estate major, plans to mark its hospitality debut by the middle of 2009. The group is currently involved in 17 hospitality projects across various Indian cities. These are in the three, four and five star categories (hotels) and include one serviced apartment project.
The company’s first operational property at...
Shirdi in Maharashtra, will be a three star, 58 room hotel. It is to be followed by a second property in the third quarter of FY 2009-10 — a four star, 105 room property at Mohali, Punjab.
Of the 16 hotel projects, nine are five star hotels situated in Jodhpur, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Goa, Ranchi, Indore, Chandigarh and two in Kochi, respectively. The three hotels under four star category are at Mohali, Jodhpur, and Lucknow. The three star hotels include the properties at Ujjain, Shirdi, Chandigarh and New Delhi.
Parsvnath’s 16 hotel projects are currently either in construction or pre-construction stages. The projects collectively host an inventory of 2800 rooms and expected to be operational between 2010 and 2011. “Construction of most of these hotels is under way. With the architectural plans of the properties at Ranchi, New Delhi, Goa and Kochi already in place, construction will begin soon. The projects at Mohali, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Lucknow will be part of the mixed-use development,” says Deepak Mowar, Vice President – Hotels, Parsvnath Developers Limited.
Apart from hotels, Parsvnath has also forayed into the serviced apartments segment. There are several serviced apartment projects in the pipeline, to be located in major cities of India. Parsvnath’s first project is at Bhiwadi, an upcoming commercial hub in Rajasthan located about 70 km from New Delhi, near the Haryana-Rajasthan border. The project will have 84 service apartments and is expected to be ready by 2010.
