In what is probably the first for an international hotel chain – these new positions - and if anyone had any doubts about W’s continued success or ability to lead the way in creating new ideas for the chain since Ross Klein left, this should put those fears to rest.
W’s marketing focus will move even further toward events, with more fashion programming (like W’s backstage lounge at New York’s Fashion Week) and music release parties in cities across the globe.

Dear Prabhjot,
The following example is at least a first in the Indian Hospitality Industry. Perhaps you could find its ranking amongst the international peers.
The Imperial, New Delhi has an Art Curator / Manager.
When I was the Director - Public Relations with them, I had worked on an Art Tour Script and went about to train staff from Front Office, Sales and Guest Relations besides my own team on the aspects of the Art Tour to be given to the hotel guests. I, personally, gave the Art Tour to the Thai Princess and to a premium American Young Businessman's delegation.
In my time, I was also speaking to an Australian Company - Narrowcasters - to work on an Audio Tour of the Hotel's art galleries, quite like what Mehrangarh Fort in India and most prominent tourist destinations abroad (such as Alcatraz) offer.
Cheers,
Aruna Dhir
@Aruna
This is brilliant. I (along with the world at large) have been impressed with the Imperial for quite some time now, and this only reinforces the image.
When did this program start and could I get in touch with someone to cover it. This looks to be a first in the Indian Hospitality arena.
I did have a someone doing something towards this at the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur, but it was not an official designation.
Cheers,
