Budget hotels in Goa gears up security to counter potential terror threat

According to a report in www.digitalgoa.com, Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) said that hotels across budgetary ranges in Goa are equipping themselves with security apparatus to ward off any potential terror threat.

Beer consumption in Jammu and Kashmir goes up

According to a PTI report, beer consumption in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), particularly in the Kashmir valley, has gone up over 120 lakh bottles in 2009. The state's Excise Department officials said that beer consumption in J&K, particularly in Kashmir valley, has gone up by over 30 per cent in 2009.

Accor to sell 450 owned hotel assets by 2010-13

French hospitality firm Accor plans to reduce its holding hotel assets entirely by selling off 450 hotels between 2010 and 2013. The company will continue to restructure its property portfolio beyond 2013 and plans to open more than 1,800 hotels, or around 220,000 rooms, by 2015, with a strong focus on Europe and Asia. The information was made public in a document 'Accor A New Momentum' published on Accor's official website.
