Music licensing body, Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL), has issued legal notices to more than 125 hotels and pubs in Mumbai for not paying the mandatory music license fee to play music at year─end events. According to a report in the agencies, the national licensing arm of the Indian Music Industry, PPL protects the broadcast, telecast and public performance rights of its member music companies.

The robust growth forecast has driven major hotel developments in Abu Dhabi, while encouraging collaboration between key industry players such as hotel chains, travel agencies, tour operators and airlines in a bid to capture a bigger share of the steadily expanding tourism market.
