The CBI arrested three officials of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) recently for allegedly taking bribes to give three-star status to eight hotels in Malabar region in Kerala, according to an Agencies report.

Job Description

• Provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the executives and others in the department as needed.

• Respond to telephonic enquiries in the absence of the sale team and handle appropriately

• Set up and maintain an effective filing system, including a daily trace file, to ensure all daily, weekly and other pre-set deadlines are met by the sales team

• Continually enhance and improve the efficiency and organisation of the department by designing and implementing administrative systems.

• Organise, book and confirm all travel plans for Directors as required

• Liaise with the Marketing Department to maintain par stock levels of sales brochures and other collaterals.

• Responsibility for making Store Requisitions to order all administrative supplies and stationery for the Sales & Marketing team.

• Take minutes of sales meeting and other meetings whenever needed

• Handle familiarisation trips / client meeting requests and issue memos accordingly

• Prepare sales kits

• Prepare Purchase Requisitions and follow through with Purchasing and Accounts on payment on invoices

• Courier and follow up on signed contracts and update them

• Update the database of clients and keep it relevant at all times

• Courier/mail-out of invitations of special events organised by the Sales & Marketing department

• Prepare and courier prize vouchers and update the required template accordingly

• Fill out the weekly dashboard presentation.

• Adhere to SOPs of the department and hotel policies and procedures.

• Be flexible to take on other duties in the course of a normal work day

Job Description

1. Meeting and Greeting of all arrivals to the hotel irrespective of the room category.

2. Personal facilitation during check in process and escort to room preferably to all guests specially those staying in suites and the premium room categories of a hotel

3. Meeting up with in-house guests

4.Daily shift wise updation of all guest feedback from Welcom Assistance and other sources into WG Guests History

5. Exclusive hanling of single lady guests

6. Follow up calls for guests complaints received through WelcomAssistance.

7. All functions associated with the conventional GRE in terms of receiving VIP guests/gardling/handling sick guests etc.

8. To handle front office duty including check-in and check-out of guests

Marriott International Reports Third Quarter 2011 Results


— Adjusted diluted earnings per share (EPS) totaled $0.29, a 32 percent
increase over prior year results;

— Worldwide comparable systemwide revenue per available room (REVPAR) rose
8.7 percent using actual dollars. Average daily rate rose 5.3 percent
using actual dollars;

— At the end of the third quarter, the company’s worldwide pipeline of
hotels under construction, awaiting conversion or approved for
development increased to more than 105,000 rooms, including over 47,000
rooms outside North America and more than 26,000 rooms in Asia;

— Nearly 6,000 rooms were added to the worldwide lodging portfolio during
the third quarter, including approximately 3,000 rooms in international
markets and nearly 1,100 rooms converting from competitor brands;

— Marriott repurchased 18.0 million shares of the company’s common stock
for $550 million during the quarter. Year-to-date through September 9,
