In this role the Reception Manager leads the reception team and optimises guest satisfaction.

Duties include:

-Provide solutions for any customer problems that cannot be resolved by the reception team
-To build up professional and personable relationships with key clients and regular guests to develop loyalty
-Recruit, integrate, train and supervise team members and team leaders
-Ensure all guests receive an excellent stay as per Service Extraordinaire
-Optimise occupancy and average rate per room through bedroom up-grades
-Manage Front and Back Office Operations
-Liaise with other departments
-Monitor invoicing and cash operations on a daily basis
-Ensure financial controls are carried out on a daily basis
-Control departmental expenses and payroll
-Carry out Duty Management shifts

NEWS | Hampton Inn Portland Downtown-waterfront Held Grand Opening Celebration

On Wednesday, October 19, Hampton Inn Portland Downtown-Waterfront hotel held its grand opening celebration. The hotel, which opened on August 4, is located at 209 Fore Street in Portland, Maine's Old Port area. The hotel is owned by Mark Woglom and Greg Kirsch, holding title through 209 Fore Street LLC. It was constructed by the Opechee Construction Corporation of Belmont, New Hampshire, and is operated by Buffalo Lodging Associates LLC.

The Hampton Inn Portland's Grand Opening celebration was attended by a number of hotel clients and local dignitaries, including officials from the Portland Community Chamber and Convention & Visitors Bureau, in addition to The City of Portland Mayor, Nicholas M. Mavodones, Jr. The event began with welcome speeches and a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Attendees of the event were greeted with a warm welcome and a 'tour passport'. By completing a tour of the hotel, guests were entered to win prizes, which included a 42-in HDTV and a complete Hampton® bedding package. Also provided was a selection of refreshments from Sebago Brewing Company. The restaurant is located in the 209 Fore Street building.

"We were very pleased to have Mayor Mavodones and so many other city officials celebrating our Grand Opening with us," stated Greg Kirsch, co-owner and VP of Opechee Construction. "Our staff and management team did a beautiful job with the opening, as they have done with every aspect of running the hotel to date. Co-owner Mark Woglom and I extend our sincere thanks to all."
