• Process all incoming and outgoing calls accurately and courteously

McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc., based in Tampa, Florida, announced that Matthew Jones has been selected to join the company’s sales and marketing team as Director of Sales for the company’s two downtown Tampa hotels, the Courtyard by Marriott® Tampa Downtown and the Residence Inn by Marriott® Tampa Downtown. Matthew is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, and he began his career in the hospitality industry with Marriott International in 1987, working in a variety of operations and sales positions.

He worked as Area Director of Sales with Blackstone in Cincinnati, Ohio, earning the title of Area Director of the Year in 2004. In 2006, Jones relocated to Florida, and served as Director of GroupSales for the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater. Edwin D. Fuller, President and Managing Director-International Lodging at Marriott International Inc., has been named the 2012 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th annual International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF), scheduled for 5-7 March, at the Hotel InterContinental Berlin, Germany. The highly respected IHIF Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual who, over his or her lifetime, has made a significant difference in the hospitality industry by their actions, deeds, and great accomplishments. Fuller has led Marriott’s growth outside the continental United States from 16 hotels to more than 550 hotels today in more than 70 countries.

Approximately 175 additional hotels are currently under development outside the United States. Fuller joined Marriott in 1972 as a management trainee and, in 1985, was named Regional Vice President for Marriott’s Midwest Region, based in Chicago; four years later, he was appointed Regional Vice President for the Western/Pacific Region, based in Santa Ana, CA. He assumed leadership of Marriott’s International Lodging operations in 1991 as Senior Vice President and Managing Director and was promoted to President and Managing Director, his current position, in 1997. He has been an Executive Corporate Officer since 1997 and chairs the International Development committee.

NEWS | Rajiv Malhotra has been appointed General Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora in Bora Bora, French Polynesia.



Malhotra, a 22-year industry veteran, has worked in management positions around the world, including the past 10 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. He makes the move to French Polynesia from Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, where he most recently served as Hotel Manager during two separate appointments. Between his appointments in Las Vegas, Rajiv was with Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma, The Bahamas as Resort Manager. His career with Four Seasons began at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, Santa Barbara. Before joining Four Seasons, Malhotra worked in India at The Oberoi Grand in Calcutta and at The Oberoi in New Delhi in a variety of operational roles for more than 10 years.

Malhotra earned a master’s degree in Management in Hospitality from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration, as well as a diploma in Hotel Management from the Oberoi School of Hotel Management in New Delhi. He also earned his bachelor of science degree from Calcutta University and a language diploma from Alliance Francaise in Calcutta.

Christoph joins Meritus Hotels & Resorts following his assignment with the InterContinental Hotels Group as General Manager of Holiday Inn Melaka.
