TripAdvisor®, the world's largest travel site*, today announced the results of its annual travel trends survey of more than 2,700 U.S. travelers. Despite the current economic climate, 31 percent anticipate they will spend more on leisure travel next year, while 49 percent expect to spend the same amount as they did in 2011.

Kamat Hotels (India) Limited (KHIL) has launched the first and largest pillarless convention centre in Maharashtra at Pune. Orchid Convention Centre, is spread across 56,000 square feet and is situated in the premises of VITS Pune. Designed for trade fairs, conferences, it has a capacity to accommodate approximately 5,000 guests and can also hold three exhibitions simultaneously.

Cornell School of Hotel Administration (SHA) will host Cornell International Hospitality Summit (CIHS) at Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai on January 17, 2012. The summit will be co-presented by the school's Center for Hospitality Research (CHR). Industry leaders and academics will examine the future of the hospitality industry in India during the summit.
