58% of Indian travellers admit to lifting items from hotels after stay Tweet Aparna

CHENNAI: Two-thirds, or 65%, of global travellers and 58% of Indian travellers admit to lifting some items, especially toiletries, from the hotels they stay.

"Three in five (59%) global hoteliers and 61% of Indian hotel owners report that their guests often take a variety of items when they leave," reveals a recent survey by travel portal, TripAdvisor.

Also, guests are more likely to admit to taking home items that are customarily thought of as complimentary, such as toiletries and stationery. But it doesn't end there. Some travellers feel that the towels, bulbs and batteries they find in the rooms are meant to be taken home.
