The UP government has decided to give away five acre land of the tourism department to set up a campus of the Central Institute of Hotel Management in Amethi. The decision was taken by the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on 17 June.
The nod comes three days after Congress Vice president Rahul Gandhi announced a hotel management institute in Amethi, his Parliamentary constituency. The institute would be the 22nd Central Institute of Hotel Management in India and the first in UP.

French hospitality company Accor is planning to add 330 rooms across five new hotels over the next two years in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. ut of the five new hotels in pipeline,four hotelsare planned on Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) and one on Mount Roadaccording toNitin Chandra, director of sales, Accor Chennai. The four hotels on OMR will have luxury hotels from the Novotel brand and business hotel from the Ibis brand inside the same complex. Another hotel that will be build in Mount Road will be an independent business hotel under the Ibis brand.
KFC India has launched its maiden digital only campaign, aiming to bring alive the Krushers experience for net-savvy teenagers across the country. The company has come out with a Facebook initiative called ‘Krushers Komics’ and a digital video channel on YouTube to drive the campaign further. The initiative allows the facebook users of KFC to input graphics such as pictures, names and a couple of favorite catchphrases into a storyline to form a graphics novel which can be shared with other users.

Hyatt Hotel Corporation will bring all of its seven brands in India in the next three years to increase footprint in the country. The hotel chain that had entered India with Hyatt Regency in Delhi 30 years ago, will open three hotels, taking its total room capacity in the country to 5,300, PTI reported. Hyatt Hotel is targeting not only the metros, but also "high growth Tier-II and III cities, and upcoming resort and leisure destinations" for its growth in India. "India is one of the primary focus markets for Hyatt globally, along with the US and China.
Wal-Mart de Mexico, a retailer in the country, may sell its restaurant unit, including the Vips chain, after receiving interest from potential buyers. Walmex, which is controlled by Wal-Mart Stores Inc, reported weak same-store sales recently. "Part of the reason is that there have been third parties in the past who have expressed interest (in the restaurants)," Antonio Ocaranza, Spokesman, Wal-Mart de Mexico, was quoted as saying in a Reuters report.

Made and manufactured in Italy, these dryers are designed for houses and flats with small balconies where there is space constraint, as per a release. The dryers are removable, that is they can be removed when not in use.
