Paul has worked his way up; from transferring bags to rooms, to managing the operations department including front office, security and engineering, housekeeping and fitness centre. Paul entered the industry in 1988, beginning his journey as a bellman in Hyatt Regency Saujana, Johor Bahru, before being promoted as the front office manager.
Mr. Donoghue started his career with Marriott in 2001 working in Sales & Marketing at Hamburg Marriott Hotel, Germany before relocating to Thailand in 2005 working as Director of Sales & Marketing for MEA Mayfair Bangkok and for JW Marriott Bangkok, Courtyard Bangkok and Renaissance Koh Samui respectively. His most recent position was Market Director Sales & Marketing for a group of Marriott hotels in Amsterdam.
The Board of Directors of Sun Resorts Limited has nominated Mr. Philippe Cassis as Chief Executive Officer Designate of the company, as from 17th September 2013. As from 1st January 2014, Philippe Cassis will act as Chief Executive Officer of Sun Resorts Limited, in replacement of Mr. Fabio Piccirillo, who will remain at the service of the company as Advisor until 30th June 2014, date of his retirement. Fabio Piccirillo had been nominated Chief Executive Officer of Sun Resorts Limited in April 2007 and elected on the Board of Directors at the same period.
The government is planning to allow hotels to build and sell apartments in their complexes in Delhi, a move that may benefit several hotels in the city except those that fall within the restricted Lutyens' Bungalow Zone. Hotels will be allowed to use the 20% of the total built-up space, where they are permitted to set up a commercial and retail wing, to develop apartments, a senior official at the Delhi Development Authority said, on the condition of anonymity. "The government's move will significantly reduce the initial capital requirement for hotel projects.
