Formerly a Marriott hotel, the property will undergo a significant multi-million dollar renovation funded by MAM-Charlotte Hotel, LLC. InterContinental Osaka has now opened in the centre of Japan’s latest commercial development, Grand Front Osaka. The mixed-use development is a new landmark in the city which also includes office buildings, commercial outlets, a convention centre, academic and entertainment facilities and residences. InterContinental Osaka offers stunning panoramic views of the city and the surrounding area of western Japan, starting from the hotel’s lobby which sits on the 20th floor. The hotel has a total of 215 guest rooms, averaging more than 50 square metres each, while the InterContinental Residences located in the same building has a further 57 serviced and fully-furnished residential suites. NEWS | Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) issues 2,000 notices to hotels, industries

Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has issued around 2,000 showcause notices to industries and hotels till tomorrow for operating without consent under the Water Act and Air Act, according to a TOI report. As per the GSPCB statistics, there are over 2,300 industrial units and over 2,500 hotels operating without consent under Water Act and Air Act. The GSPCB's move is based on the directions of the central pollution control board. The Comptroller and Auditor General ( CAG) of India had pointed out that hotels and industrial units were operating without water and air consent of the GSPCB, thereby causing a loss to the state exchequer.
