With 15 plus years experience in the hospitality industry and a strong focus on reservations, communications and sales, Melissa is a dedicated hotel professional. Her analytical ability and project management skills have achieved fantastic results in her previous roles. Melissa will work closely with our General Manager and Sales team to increase revenue and build on existing yield management strategies. Melissa commenced her new role on 01st July 2013.

NEWS | InterContinental to Transform Renowned Double Bay Hotel, Sydney

Double Bay's legendary hotel situated at 33 Cross Street is soon to become InterContinental Sydney Double Bay. Singaporean-based Royal Hotels and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) have signed a management agreement for the 140-room InterContinental hotel on this famed site in one of Sydney's most luxurious suburbs. Royal Hotels will undertake a multimillion-dollar refurbishment of all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel, after which it will reopen as InterContinental Sydney Double Bay in January 2014.

NEWS | Glenn Sampert has been appointed General Manager

Mr. Sampert previously served as the general manager of the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and Casino, a 694-room property in Nassau, Bahamas. Mr. Sampert is a Vancouver, British Colombia native who has been a part of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide team since 1998. A former Six Sigma Black Belt, he previously contributed his talents to The Westin Los Angeles Airport, The Westin Maui Resort and Spa, and the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel after beginning his career at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver.

NEWS | ONGC to adopt Taj Mahal under Campaign Clean India

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) will today adopt the Taj Mahal, a World Heritage Site, at a function in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of Dr K Chiranjeevi, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Tourism, Government of India. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal is the "Crown Jewel" among tourist destinations in India and therefore an obvious priority destination under the Campaign Clean India programme, a release stated. NEWS | Worldhotels adds 31 hotels in first half of 2013

Worldhotels has recorded 31 hotels and almost 6,000 rooms joining the international hotel group in the first half of this year. During the period, a total of 186 hotels applied to join. NEWS| Sundus Investments, Rotana Hotel Management sign agreement to manage 2 Oman projects

Sundus Investments Projects LLC has signed an agreement with Rotana Hotel Management Company to manage its new project, Sundus Arjaan by Rotana. The agreement comes close on the heels of Sundus Investments’ recently concluded alliance with Rotana to manage its first four-star Sundus Rotana Muscat corporate and conference hotel, being developed at Airport Heights in Bousher, Muscat. The USD 40-million projects is scheduled to be completed in two years.

Singapore-based Royal Hotels and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) have signed a management agreement for the 140-room InterContinental hotel on Double Bay in Sydney, Australia. Royal Hotels will undertake a multimillion-dollar refurbishment of all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel, after which it will reopen as InterContinental Sydney Double Bay in January 2014, as per a release. InterContinental Sydney Double Bay will be the fifth InterContinental hotel in Australia, and will join the family of 169 InterContinental Hotels & Resorts around the world. Purpose-built in 1991 as the Ritz Carlton Double Bay, the hotel established a reputation as the place to stay for celebrities visiting Sydney. It became the Stamford in 2001, before closing in 2009 with a view to being redeveloped.
