Marriott International eyes 100 hotels in India by 2017-18

It has been busy two months for hotel giant Marriott International. In Bengaluru, it opened three hotels: the country's first Ritz Carlton, a corporate Hotel Fairfield Inn and a JW Marriott. And on Thursday, the company launched the JW Marriott in New Delhi's aerocity, thereby becoming the first hotel to start operations in the hospitality district of the airport.

Rotana Hotels all geared to mark their presence in India

Rotana Hotels & Resorts, an Abu Dhabi based hotel management company, which manages 50 hotels across Middle East and Africa, is hopeful of a major breakthrough in Indian hospitality space soon. “We are closer to confirming our first hotel deal in India in the next four to five months time,” said Andy Nightingale, Director of International Sales, Rotana Hotel Management Corporation.  

Deltin Group to open casino hotels in Daman and Sikkim

This property is Daman's first integrated five star resort and casino. Also, the Deltin Group is aggressively looking to enter the eastern market by launching a property in Sikkim, but this is still at a very nascent stage. In India, the licenses and permission for live gaming is only encouraged by Goa, Daman and Sikkim.
