RLJ Lodging Trust Announces Closing of $313 Million, 10-Hotel Portfolio Acquisition from Affiliates of Hyatt Hotels Corporation

BETHESDA, Md.--()--RLJ Lodging Trust (NYSE: RLJ) (“RLJ”) and Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) (“Hyatt”) today announced that their affiliates have closed on the previously announced purchase and sale of 10 Hyatt, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels, totaling 1,560 rooms. Hyatt affiliates will manage the hotels under new management agreements. The portfolio, which is comprised of the hotels listed below and located primarily on the West Coast, was acquired for a total purchase price of approximately $313 million. RLJ intends to spend approximately $25 million in capital expenditures across the portfolio, the majority of which will be invested over the next 24 months. Meliá Hotels International Announce ME Milan Il Duca

Leading hotel company Meliá Hotels International, today announce a new milestone for its cutting edge, lifestyle brand ME by Meliá as the name continues to grow globally. IHG, Carlson make senior personnel moves

Bob Morse will step down as COO of the Americas for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) effective April 4. Lew Fader, currently senior vice president of operations for the Americas East Region and Canada, will oversee hotel operations in the interim.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group on Monday announced that Thorsten Kirschke will assume the role of president of the group’s Asia Pacific region effective immediately. For the past four years, Kirschke has led Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group as President of the Americas. Kirschke will replace Simon Barlow, who resigned from his position to pursue other opportunities. He will report to David Berg, chief operating officer, Carlson.

In the Americas, Javier Rosenberg will continue to lead Radisson and Radisson Blu as COO, Radisson, Americas and executive vice president, owned and managed hotels.
