Treatment center hosts open house

Hotel California by the Sea, a self-proclaimed luxury drug and alcohol treatment center based in Newport Beach, hosted an open house Thursday evening to celebrate the unveiling of its new outpatient services center in Costa Mesa.

New Shangri-La hotel in Tibe

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has opened a new property in Tibet, in a somewhat belated “homecoming” for the group, which is named after the legendary Shangri-La, a mythical paradise set in the Himalayas. The Hong Kong-based company currently owns and/or manages more than 80 hotels in locations including the UAE, Australia, Canada, mainland China, Fiji, France, Hong Kong and India.

Protea opens eighth hotel in Zambia

The new Protea Hotel Lusaka Tower opened its doors recently, making it the fourth Protea Hotel in the Zambian capital and the eighth in Zambia as a whole.
