Editor: Tell us about your journey. How did it all start?
 I did my hotel management in 1993. Joined the management trainee program of Jaypee Group of Hotels and the journey started.

Editor: What do you think it takes to succeed in this industry?
 Persistence and patience. the journey is very tough at the beginning and the passion to continue on and the drive to excel will ensure success here.

Editor: What are the attributes you look for while selecting or hiring?
 The most important attribute for hiring someone is the person's ability to get trained. whenever any person joins a new organization, they always carry some extra baggage with them, which is actually not needed in the new organization. so the person's ability to quickly shed away the extra baggage and pick up the unique trends of the new organization becomes a key factor for selection.

Editor: Tell us a little about your average day
 The day starts early with a walk and spending some time with wife. then rush to the office from where the first half of the day is spend in meetings and discussions. towards late second half, I visit the different outlets and oversee the operations.

Editor: How do keep abreast of all that is happening in hospitality?
 The easiest way is to be a part of various hospitality social platforms where one can meet like minded and leaders of the industry and exchange ideas and thoughts.

Editor: What are some of the key trends that you see in your industry/vertical?
 Some of the noticeable trends of the industry are- more refined cuisine concepts coming in - the chefs are trying out more novel cuisine and the same is being tried out in the bar by young bartenders. - guests eagerness to try out these new concepts.

Editor: What makes Underdogg so popular?
 Underdoggs is in true sense a sports bar as it not only show different sports at all times but it also has different sports and games lined up which the guest can enjoy along with unique drinks options and amazing food. A combination of all this ensures that the guests keep coming back to Underdoggs again and again.
