Waiter suspected of killing hotel manager

SURAT: A hotel manager on night shift was found murdered on Saturday morning. Sources said that 50-year-old  Noor Mohammad Abdulla Shekih wasthe manger at Hotel Imperial located opposite railway station. It is suspected that he was done to death by a young waiter 22-year-old Dilip Raman of the same hotel. Raman is absconding and the police have launched a manhunt for him.


Officials at Mahidharpura police station said that Raman had a scuffle with Shekih around midnight. They disclosed that Sheikh was assaulted somewhere between 3 am and 5 am on Saturday with a huge blunt object on his head. This hit caused Sheikh's death. The primary post mortem report suggests that he died of a head injury. There were no other injury marks on his body.

Sources said that after Sheikh died, the accused dragged his body and dumped it in the b of the dormitory of the hotel.He then feld from the spot.
