AC Hotels by Marriott opens new hotel in Paris

AC Hotels by Marriott welcomed the new AC Hotel Paris Le Bourget to its France portfolio on 2 February 2015, the new hotel follows major global expansion of the brand, aimed at the lifestyle oriented business traveller, with the opening of the first AC by Marriott property in the U.S. - the AC Hotel New Orleans Bourbon - and recent openings in Istanbul and Valencia.

Shangri-La unveils luxury property in historic Nanchang City.

Shangri-La Hotel, Nanchang opened on 8 February in Honggutan, the new central business district of Nanchang city.

Sited on the most sought-after location on the west bank of the Ganjiang River, the hotel has direct views of the magnificent 1,300-year-old Tengwang Pavilion, one of the four famous towers in China, and is a five-minute stroll from the popular Qiushui Square.

Leading Hotels of the World to get a new member in India at Munnar Kerala this year

Leading Hotels of the World (LHW), one of the largest luxury hotel collection with about 430 member hotels across the world, will have a new member joining their membership this year in India at Munnar in Kerala. The hotel , which is currently in the final stages of construction, is expected to become operational in the third quarter of 2015. Informing this, Sowmyaragavan TE, Director – India, LHW said that the all-suite hotel at Munnar will have 36 luxury suites. Since Taj Group’s eight hotels in India opted out of LHW membership last year, theLHW has no member hotels in India currently. Sowmyaragavan said that four overseas hotel of the Taj are still part of LHW.

Sheraton brand debuts in Berlin with 394-room Hotel.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts announced that it is expanding its footprint in Germany with the signing of the Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade, the franchise agreement with Esplanade Operation GmbH, a subsidiary of Host Hotels & Resorts’ European joint venture, marks the conversion of the existing Grand Hotel Esplanade to a Sheraton hotel.
