The NRAI India Food Services Report 2016, industry’s most influential and respected trade-report, will be launched in New Delhi at India Habitat Centre, on July 20th byShri Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India), GOI.  Commissioned by the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) and compiled by Technopak, the report will be the single, one stop, and credible source of information, trends, opportunities and challenges for the industry in India and will address needs of all the stakeholders. NRAI IFSR 2016 will be subsequently launched in Mumbai and Bangalore in August.

The NRAI, which aspires to lead the Indian restaurant industry in its growth by promoting and strengthening the Indian food service sector, has been publishing the paper since 2010. It has since been highly effective in broadcasting key trends and figures for the sector to relevant authorities, all quarters of the sector, investors and global markets.

Besides covering ‘Consumer Behavior’, ‘Roadblocks and Challenges confronting the industry’, ‘Trends’ and ‘Business Models’,  the NRAI IFSR 2016 entails specific sections on ‘Investment Opportunities’, ‘Digital Marketing Practices’, ‘International Opportunities’ and ‘Technology’. One will also get insights on nine countries from the ‘International Industry Perspective’ chapter. Special highlight of this year’s report will be the ‘CEO Speak’ chapter containing ‘Guru-Mantras’ from the 40 leading industry players.

On his association with the report Mr. Kant remarks, The significant numbers related to employment and revenue generation by the industry are important inputs for creating a suitable environment for the industry.  Besides industry stakeholders, I think a report like the NRAI IFSR 2016 is also relevant to the government given how the Indian economy benefits from the growth of this sector. I would like to congratulate the NRAI team, for spearheading a project of this calibre.”

In the run-up to the Delhi launch of the report, Mr. Riyaaz Amlani, President, NRAI, states, The main aim of this report is to put revelatory facts in front of the Central as well as State governments to increase our economic footprint on India’s GDP; as well as to be the most accurate and definitive source of information on the food services sector by throwing light on trends, opportunities, challenges and solutions; to aid entrepreneurs and investors take informed decisions; and to unite the industry under one banner.
