Gurgaon hotel owner ‘assaults’ Chinese woman

A Chinese national, Zhou Huan (32), has accused the owner of a hotel she runs on lease of beating her and her brother, said Gurgaon police Friday.

According to police, Huan came to India around two years ago and began running the hotel, Corporate Regency, in DLF Phase 3, with two partners, Ramesh Choudhary and Mohammad Raheesh Khan. They took the property, owned by Parul Lohia, a resident of Nathupur village, on lease. In her complaint, Huan said Lohia had been harassing her and her partners to vacate the property even though they had an agreement. She alleged that on Wednesday morning, Lohia, along with other men, confronted her and her brother in a room at the hotel and beat them up.
