Haryana: CBI books 2 promoters of Naldehra hotel

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has booked two promoters of a Naldehra-based hotel-cum-resort on charges of defrauding the Central Bank of India.

The two promoters had allegedly availed of a loan from the bank but did not invest the entire money in a legitimate venture . Though no arrest has been made in the case so far but CBI teams have raided at least seven locations in Shimla and Panchukla (Haryana), including residences of the accused persons whose identity the agency has not revealed .

 “Searches were conducted in Shimla and Panchkula (Haryana), including the residential premises of accused persons, which led to recovery of several incriminating documents,” said a CBI spokesman here Wednesday. According to information, the agency has registered a case U/s 120-B read with section 420, 405, 467, 468 and 471 of IPC and 13(2) read with 13 (1) (d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 against two partners of a resort and hotel at Naldehra, a popular tourism destination on the outskirts of Shimla.
