Civic body collects food samples from top hotels

The health department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Wednesday carried out checks at top hotels in the city and collected samples of cooked food for testing on various quality parameters.


The samples were taken from The Imperial Palace, The Grand Regency, Hotel Thakar, Hotel Platinum and Hotel Fern among others. "It was part of our routine exercise to take samples of food for quality checks. These hotels are considered top hotels of the city. We took samples of foods which were ready to be served to costumers," said Dr Pankaj Rathod, deputy health officer, RMC.
